A man has been arrested over his alleged in involvement in selling and supplying online drugs to educational institutions in posh localities of the city.Police officials said on Monday that the suspect, identified as Izhar alias Asghar, was arrested during a raid conducted on a tip-off at Khayaban-e-Badar in Defence Housing Authority within the limits of the Darakhshan police station.Police also claimed to have seized 2,400 grams of Hashish, cash and other valuables from his possession. Police officials said Izhar, who hailed from Gilgit, used to supply drugs online to students in educational institutions in Defence and Clifton areas. They added that he had also hired over half a dozen riders and drivers for supplying drugs to students on their motorcycles, rickshaws and hi-roof vans.The suspect revealed that he had been involved in the drugs business for the past couple of years. One of his companions was recently arrested by police. A case has been registered and further investigations are underway.
