CBC imposes complete ban of shopping bags in its limits

Ag PRKarachi: Cantonment Board Clifton, last month, had announced to ban usage of shopping bags in its limits. For this, deadline of 5th April was given by the cantonment board to stop using shopping bags in its jurisdiction, completely. Later on, the deadline was extended to April 10.According to CBC officials, 3-day awareness campaign has now ended. During the awareness campaign, announcements were made through megaphone in all the commercial and residential areas falling under its jurisdiction. In the next phase, action will be taken against people found not complying the ban and such shopkeepers may be fined, heavily.CBC officials further told that public has welcomed its decision to ban shopping bags and have assured to fully cooperate with it.*****
