NHS car parking charges will be scrapped for thousands of people from this April, the Government announced last night. Disabled drivers with “blue badge” permits, frequent outpatient attendees and parents of sick children staying overnight will be spared having to pay the fees for leaving their vehicles at hospital car parks.
