Punjab Dolphin Force to help develop Sindh police’s emergency response system

The Punjab’s Dolphin Force and the Punjab Safe City Authority (PSCA) will extend cooperation in developing the Sindh Police Emergency Response.The spokesman for the Police Security & Emergency Service Division Karachi said the Sindh Police would be seeking expert advice from the Punjab Safe City Authority for upgrading its emergency response mechanism and the dolphin force for the training of its personnel.The DIG of the recently formed Police Security & Emergency Service Division Maqsood Ahmed conducted a study tour of the Punjab Safe City Authority and the Dolphin Force headquarters. He was briefed by DIG Kamran Khan and PSCA CEO Akbar Nasir.The PSCA is the exclusive security organisation in Pakistan with its own advanced 4G-LTE communication system in place and more than 8,000 operational cameras. Maqsood Ahmad visited various wings of the project dealing in 15 operations, Police Dispatch Unit, Video Control Unit, Media Monitoring Unit and the PSCA cam-surveillance operations management centre.He was briefed with audio visual presentations on various objectives, operational approaches and response mechanisms of PPIC3, which when employed together, ensured optimum performance.At the Dolphin Force Headquarters, DIG Maqsood Ahmed was briefed about its operational capabilities. It was decided that the Punjab Dolphin Force training would be given to the Karachi Police Emergency Responding units to improve their working, and a technical team of the PSCA would visit Karachi to suggest improvements in the emergency response system in Karachi.
