Man runs off after snatching security guard’s weapon

An unidentified man ran away after snatching a security guard’s weapon in North Nazimabad on Wednesday. The incident took place in Sector 11-B in North Nazimabad. According to a video that went viral on social media, a man came from behind, attacked the security guard with a cleaver and escaped after snatching his weapon.Cop ‘commits suicide’A policeman allegedly committed suicide at the Sukkan police station premises on Wednesday. Police said Faisal Pathan shot himself with his official submachine gun. A fellow policeman told officials that he was in the washroom when Pathan shot himself outside the washroom. The cop had come back to work after 40 days of leave.He was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where he died. Police said the motive behind the suicide was yet to be ascertained.Man injuredA youth was injured by a stray bullet in the Gulzar-e-Hijri area in the early hours of Wednesday, adds PPI. According to police, 19-year-old Asghar, son of Aslam, was injured after being hit by a stray bullet at his home in Gulzar-e-Hijri. He was hit by the bullet in his right arm and was shifted to the JPMC.
