THE Queen’s handling of the crisis over Prince Andrew has been affected by the prolonged absence of the Duke of Edinburgh at her side, royal sources said yesterday. She and Prince Philip have seen each other only twice for short periods in almost three months and will be apart today on their 72nd wedding anniversary when the Queen has official duties in London, according to informed sources.
