Woman dies in mysterious circumstances

A young woman died in mysterious circumstances at her house in Karachi’s Surjani Town on Tuesday.Police officials, quoting the family of 24-four-year-old Muskan, wife of Amir, said the woman suffered burn injuries while she was cooking food in the kitchen of her house located near Mashallah Bus Stop in Yaro Goth.She was taken to the Burns Ward of the Civil Hospital, where she died. Her body was later handed over to her family for burial. According to SHO Idrees Bangash, the police are investigating the incident from different angles and a case will be registered if the woman’s death turns out to be the result of a criminal act.Self-immolation bidA man attempted to set himself on fire after sprinkling petrol in Gujrat Colony. The incident took place in the Baldia Town police station precincts. According to the police, 55-year-old Ibrahim Abdullah was immediately taken to the Civil Hospital’s burns ward for medical treatment where doctors termed his condition critical.According to SHO Akbar Masood, the victim had been suffering from multiple diseases, and he attempted to commit suicide after being disheartened by his illness.
